Apologies

Yes, I know I’ve been quiet for some time. I’m sincerely sorry, though I’ll admit you haven’t been on the forefront of my mind. To be perfectly honest, my grandfather’s passing a little over a month ago has consumed a lot of mental energy. I have every intention to return to this project, which you should probably know will take a while anyway (that was obvious from the beginning, at least to me). But right now, I’m mulling my writing goals over the next few years, and also gazing into the depths of life and death a bit (I’m indubitably middle-aged now, and also in at least one sense the oldest male in my family line now - pater familias as I told my brothers, who happily pointed out my absentee uncle who still, technically, lives, in order to save me the humiliation. I only mention this in case you need some fodder for psychological speculation).

Well, I have a few pieces in process for this Substack, which will drop when they’re ready. So don’t give up hope entirely. If you’ve been so kind as to sign up for a paid membership, I’ve paused payments for the next month. I’ll turn them back on once I’m satisfied this Substack will repay the investment.
